【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardestablishesauniformpracticefortheissuingandmanagementofsecuritycertificatesforuseinPublicKeyInfrastructureapplications.Assumingthatallentities,intendingtosetupasecuredataexchangetootherentitiesbasedonprivateandpublickeys,areabletoprovidetheirowncertificate,thecertificatemanagementschemeguaranteesthattheentitieswillgetalladditionalinformationneededtoestablishtrusttootherentities,fromasinglesourceinasimpleandunifiedformat.ThecertificatemanagementisflexiblewithrespecttotherelationsbetweenCertificationAuthorities,notrequestinganyhierarchicalstructure.Itdoesnotprescribecentralizeddirectoriesorthelike,beingaccessiblebyallentitiesinvolved.Withtheseproperties,themanagementschemeisoptimizedforapplicationsintheautomotivedomain.ThisInternationalStandarddetailstheroleandresponsibilitiesoftheCertificationAuthorityrelatingtocertificateissuinganddistribution.Itspecifieshowtohandlecertificatevalidityandcertificatepolicies.Thisistheprerequisiteforeachentitytomakesureitcanactuallytrustanotherentitywhenintendingtoexchangedataofaspecifickindwithit.ThisInternationalStandardprescribesaCertificateformat,whichisaspecialimplementationofthewell-knownX.509certificateaccordingtoISO/IEC9594-8.Itspecifiesthestructureanduseofeverycertificatecomponentsuchthatitcomplieswiththecertificatemanagementestablished.
