【摘要】:Thistestmethoddescribesatwo-strokecycledieselenginetestprocedureforevaluatingengineoilsforcertainhigh-temperatureperformancecharacteristics,particularlycylinderlinerscuffingandpistonringfacedistress,butalsoincludingportplugging,slipperbushing,andpistonskirtdistress.SuchoilsincludebothsingleviscositySAEgradeandmultiviscositySAEgradeoilsusedindieselengines.Itiscommonlyknownasthe6V92TAtest.(SeeNote1.)CompaniontestmethodsusedtoevaluateotherengineoilperformancecharacteristicsforspecificationrequirementsarediscussedinEngineOiltests-SAEJ304.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecifichazardstatementsaregiveninSections8,10,13,and14.ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasthestandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;thereforeeachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother,withoutcombiningvaluesinanyway.Thistestmethodisarrangedasfollows:
