【摘要】:ThispartofISO/IEC9798specifiesanauthenticationmodelandgeneralrequirementsandconstraintsforen-tityauthenticationmechanismswhichusesecuritytech-niques.Thesemechanismsareusedtocorroboratethatanentityistheonethatisclaimed.Anentitytobeau-thenticatedprovesitsidentitybyshowingitsknowledgeofasecret.Themechanismsaredefinedasexchangesofinformationbetweenentities,andwhererequired,ex-changeswithatrustedthirdparty.ThedetailsofthemechanismsandthecontentsoftheauthenticationexchangesarenotspecifiedinthispartofISO/IEC9798butinthesubsequentparts.CertainofthemechanismsspecifiedinsubsequentpartsofISO/IEC9798canbeusedtohelpprovidenon-repudiationservices,mechanismsforwhicharespecifiedinISO/IEC13888.Theprovisionofnon-repudiationservicesisbeyondthescopeofISO/IEC9798.
