【摘要】:ThispartofISO8178specifiesthemeasurementproceduresandtestcyclesfortheevaluationofsmokeemissionsfromcompressionignitionenginesunderfieldconditions.ThispartofISO8178isintendedforuseprimarilyasasupportforin-usesmoketestingprogrammesonenginesthathavebeen"certified"or"typeapproved"inaccordancewiththeprovisionsofISO8178-9.ISO8178-9providestestproceduresandtestcyclesformeasurementofsmokefromdifferentapplicationsofenginesoperatingonthetestbed.Likewise,ISO8178-4specifiesanumberofdifferenttestcyclestobeusedinordertocharacterizegaseousandparticulateemissionsfromnonroadengines.ThetestcyclesinISO8178-4weredevelopedinrecognitionofthedifferingoperatingcharacteristicsofvariouscategoriesofnonroadmachines.Fortransientsmoketestcycles,smoketestingisconductedusingsmokemetersthatoperateonthelightextinctionprinciple.ThepurposeofthispartofISO8178istodefinethesmoketestcyclesandthemethodsusedtomeasureandanalysesmoke.SpecificationsformeasurementofsmokeusingthelightextinctionprinciplecanbefoundinISO11614.Thetestproceduresandmeasurementtechniquesdescribedinclauses5to11ofthispartofISO8178areapplicabletoreciprocatinginternalcombustion(RIC)enginesingeneral.However,anengineapplicationcanonlybeevaluatedusingthispartofISO8178oncetheappropriatetestcyclehasbeendeveloped.AnnexesAtoCtothispartofISO8178eachcontainsatestcyclethatisrelevantonlyforthosespecificapplicationslistedinthescopeofthatannex.Wherepossible,thesmoketestcycledescribedintheannexutilizestheengineandmachinecategoriesdevelopedinISO8178-4.
